Welcome to Receipt Tracker. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Receipt Tracker, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Receipt Tracker is a mobile application that helps you:

• Scan and digitize paper receipts using your device's camera
• Extract and organize receipt information using on-device OCR
• Forward email receipts to a unique email address for processing
• Track expenses with Canadian tax support (HST, GST, PST, QST)
• Categorize expenses for personal or business use
• Sync receipt data across your devices

3. Account Registration

To use certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Promptly update any changes to your information
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Upload malicious content or code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with other users' access to the Service
• Use the email forwarding feature to send spam or unsolicited messages
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

5. Email Forwarding Feature

The email forwarding feature provides you with a unique email address. You understand that:

• This email address is for forwarding receipts only
• Forwarded emails are temporarily stored and then deleted after processing
• We only process image and PDF attachments
• You are responsible for only forwarding receipts you have the right to process
• We may disable this feature if it is misused

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Receipt Tracker and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without permission.

You retain ownership of your receipt data and images. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the Service.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services:

• Google Sign-In - Subject to Google's Terms of Service
• Apple Services - Subject to Apple's Terms and Conditions
• Cloudflare - Our hosting provider, subject to their terms

We are not responsible for third-party services and their terms.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of extracted receipt data, especially for tax or business purposes.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Receipt Tracker from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent or illegal activity
• Non-payment (if applicable)
• Extended inactivity

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Receipt Tracker regarding the Service.
